About the Big Box Guy

Big Box Guy is a guy. He loves box. Big box, small box, flat box, tall box. Tight box, wide box, the kind that takes two hands. He has never met a box he didn't want to get inside of, and he has asked us not to look into it further.

Our story

In the beginning there was a box. Big Box Guy saw it, and something in him changed. He opened it, gently, with both hands, and that is when the trouble started. He has not stopped since. He has barely slept. He built a company around not stopping. Today, bigboxguy.com is the world's leading destination for box appreciation, a category we invented, dominate, and are the only entrant in.

We believe every box deserves to be opened. We believe every box deserves to be loved for exactly what it is. Long ones. Short ones. Tight ones that need a little coaxing. The wide ones that take two hands and a deep breath. We believe in very little else, and we are at peace with that.

"People ask me what my type is. I tell them: box. They ask what kind. I tell them: yes. They ask how I get them open. I tell them: slowly, and with respect. I have been having this conversation for eleven years and I would have it again tonight."โ€” Big Box Guy, Founder & Chief Box Officer

Mission

To love every box, of every shape and every size, until the heat death of the universe or the end of the cardboard, whichever comes first. (It will be the cardboard. We'll miss it.)

Values

Leadership team

Big Box GuyFounder, Chief Box Officer

Loves box. All box. Has personally been inside every box on this site, in order, and remembers each one fondly. Some by name.

Justin BoxFounding Guy, Association of Guys who love Box

Signs the certificates. By hand. Slowly. Has never been seen in the same room as a box that was not loved, usually more than once.

A BoxSenior Advisor

Joined the company in the first box. Does not speak in meetings. Is always, always listened to.

Association of Guys who love Box

The Association was founded by Justin Box to recognize those who have loved one hundred boxes and kept going. Membership is awarded at Box 100 and cannot be bought, revoked, or explained to your family. Especially not your family. Members receive a certificate. There are no meetings. The meetings would just be boxes, and we would never get anything done.

Press

Big Box Guy does not do interviews, but he will open a box in front of you if you ask nicely. He prefers an audience. He performs better with one. Media inquiries may be placed in a box and left anywhere; he will find it.
